He blends a background in education, administration, and strategic consulting with extensive community involvement, including leading initiatives in food security and broadband access. Driven by a vision of transparent governance and compassionate leadership, Akir is committed to building a Greensboro where every resident has the opportunity to thrive.

Michael Robinson
Campaign Manager
Michael is an accomplished professional with a strong background in community engagement and racial equity. As former Program Director of North Carolina for Community and Justice (NCCJ) he brings a deep understanding of diversity and inclusion to the campaign.
He is the co-creator of NCCJ’s newest adult program, Origins: Stories of American Democracy and Civil Rights, which had a successful pilot with 25 participants. With a wealth of experience in professional facilitation, Michael led over 30 workplace and adult programs in FY 2025 alone. His commitment to education and building common ground makes him an invaluable asset to Dr. Akir Khan's team.

Muhammad Toheed Saleem is a versatile and dynamic operations leader with experience in the aircraft engines and electrical systems industries. He is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment and has expertise in key areas of operations, including project management, process improvement, change management, and shop operations.

Jenn McClinton
Director of Media Relations
Jenn McClinton earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from High Point University and her master’s in Education from Elon University. As Senior Professional Learning Specialist at Lexia, she supports national initiatives, oversees complex projects, and equips hundreds of literacy professionals with the tools and communication they need to succeed.
A longtime advocate for equity and access, Jenn is deeply engaged in Greensboro’s civic life. She has worked with schools, nonprofits, and civic organizations to turn ideas into impact, leading district-wide literacy initiatives, advising on strategic messaging, and volunteering with youth and family programs. Her passion lies in amplifying voices that often go unheard and building connections across diverse communities.

Kanayo Obi-Rapu
Director of Marketing
Kanayo Obi-Rapu is an entrepreneur and strategist with a background in kinesiology and a passion for innovation. As Director of Marketing, he blends creative storytelling with data-driven strategy to help organizations grow their reach and impact.
Through his ventures, including the SmileForJosh Foundation and Revenue Risr, Kanayo has led campaigns that connect with diverse audiences, amplify important voices, and drive measurable results. With experience spanning nonprofits, startups, and high-growth businesses, his work centers on building authentic brands, leveraging technology, and creating marketing systems that scale.

Lindsay
Director of Community Impact & Brand Strategy
Lindsay is the bringing both professional expertise and personal passion for the community. With deep roots in the Piedmont region, Lindsay has dedicated time to supporting diverse business owners and volunteered for veteran’s causes. As the child of a single parent, she relied on Pell Grants to access higher education and knows firsthand the importance of policies that provide working families a fair chance. Thanks to that support, she earned one undergraduate and two master’s degrees from NC State University. She believes in strengthening opportunities for low-income families and building a more supportive Greensboro for all.

Amina Memon
Chief of Staff
Amina Memon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kean University and is currently a dedicated Interventionist at Greensboro Academy. Beyond the classroom, she serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity Greensboro, where she also chairs a committee to advance its mission. Recognized with the AFP NC Triad chapter Emerging Philanthropist Award, Amina is deeply committed to acts of service, driven by her desire to model civic responsibility for her children and future generations.
Her community involvement spans across key initiatives in Greensboro, including serving the homeless, supporting newly arrived refugees, and tackling food insecurity through her work with Habitat for Humanity, the Out of the Garden Project, the Islamic Center of the Triad and other local efforts. Amina’s passion for service reflects her steadfast belief in building stronger, more compassionate communities.

Maw Reh
Webmaster
Maw Reh is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. His studies focused on web design and development, which he applies to his work as a freelance web developer with a strong interest in UI/UX design. As an artist from a young age, he also owns a wedding photography business, which serves as a creative outlet.
Currently, he is gaining hands-on experience as an IT intern at the Montagnard non-profit organization. He is also a dedicated member of the Karenni community of Winston-Salem, where he volunteers his skills in media and web development to support community initiatives. His commitment to community work extends to his role as Media Director for the non-profit organization Bamboo Roots.
